Day 17

I'm thankful for the holidays!  This time
Of year truly reminds me how lucky we are and the importance of giving back.  Today at church I felt like God was talking directly to me and reminding me why I do what I do.  No matter the storm God is always there.  I pray this holiday season that we as a family can focus on the importance of the season, spend time together and make memories.

Today I pulled out the Christmas decor.  Normally I refuse to decorate before Thanksgiving (as that's one of my favorite holidays), but since we will be in SC for a week and the first two weeks of Dec are crazy I figured I would get a head start.

Day 12

OI'm thankful that My kids have a dad and I have him to help me parent.  Being a parent is sooo hard and I can't image doing it alone.  I give major props to all of the single parents out there (especially my MIL).  Chase is my rock and makes being a parent easier, fun and keeps me from going crazy.

Day 13

I'm thankful for my popcorn machine 🌽
Yes.. Not only does it provide a healthy snack (when I don't pour butter all over), but it makes memories.  Hunter and I love to make a bowl and snuggle while watching a movie.

Day 14

I'm thankful for txt messages.  Silly I know but sometimes my txt group messages from my mommy friends can get me through the day.  While I'm sure the hubby would love not to heat the beeb so often, their words bring encouragement, accountability (speaking of that I haven't done my exercises today), and most importantly make me feel like I'm doing ok and I'm not alone.

Day 15

I'm thankful for "forgiveness" - I'm still learning how to be a mommy and sometimes hearing mommy I'm sorry will you forgive me or mommy it's ok I forgive you - can make your day and know that even when you make mistakes your love ones will forgive & that I can too.

Day 16

I'm thankful for a garage disposal!  Since chase and I have been married we have only had one for 6 months when we briefly lived in an apt after moving to Birmingham.  Our new house has one and wow does it make clean up easier.  It's the little things 😀

Day 11

I'm thankful for our veterans and our freedom.  Past or present they and their families give the biggest sacrifice.  Thank you and a special thank you to my dad (my first hero - navy/air force pilot), grandpa (WWII navy), granddaddy (late Col Coleman - Air Force), step grandfather (marines), and cousin (Army)

Day 10

Today I couldn't be more thankful for the opportunity to hang out with friends/family as I had a housewarming party.  One of my good friends Sherrie sells scentsy so she was here to help my house and friends houses smell amazing.  It was great to show off the new house and hang out with the girls!

Day 9

I'm thankful for date nights.  We rarely have just a date night somewhere outside of a movie in the basement.  It was nice to spend several hours just the two of us and thousands of Alabama fans at the Bama/LSU game on Saturday.  We had a wonderful time and it helped that I knew the boys were in good hands.

Day 7

I'm thankful for a little quiet time.  For those you with toddlers you understand how impactful having 5 minutes (and tonight's case 2 hours) to yourself is.  Taking time to just do nothing rarely happens and it's nice just to do "nothing."

Day 8

ITonight we watched Mary Poppins as a family.  It brought back so many wonderful memories from my childhood, especially about my Grandma Cerny.  My sister and I use to watch Disney movies at her house.  She was and still is one of the most impactful people in my life... I miss her more than words can describe (she passed away this summer).  Watching Mary Poppins brings back such wonderful memories and I hope my boys have the same memories one day, I only wish she could have met them.  Fish who normally does not watch tv much less movies has been dancing, singing and watching the movie with such excitement.
I feel incredibly grateful for childhood memories, my little sister and my amazing late grandmother!

Day 6

IWords can't describe how thankful I am for my mom (the boys Nana).  After a very rough evening, I truly appreciate all that my mom did and went through.  She continues to inspire me to be a better mom and daughter.  I'm so lucky to have such a great mom!

Day 4

I'm thankful for my mops friends.  They have been my lifesavers when I needed help floating.  The relationships I have made have truly touched my life and I'm incredibly thankful for each of them especially E, B and H

Day 5

Family Dinners!  Chase works most nights and rarely do we have dinner as a family of four around the table at the same time.  Tonight was wonderful.. I was able to eat at my own pace, not rush around while shoving food in my mouth, just enjoy time with my boys.  So nice..  So thankful for my amazing little family!

Day 3

OoII'm thankful for Publix!  No matter what people may say it makes shopping easy and pleasant, unlike Walmart.  The staff is always friendly, even when my kids are screaming.  They not only bag my groceries, push the cart to the car so I can unload the kids.. They talk to my kids, bring them balloons when Fish is screaming for one, make funny faces so I can pay for my groceries and even run across the store when I realize at check out that I forgot milk. While prices may be higher, I love the BOGO deals and how much fresher their meat and produce is compared to others.  Overall publix made my day and I'm thankful for them making my days a little easier.

Day 2

I'm so thankful for Aunt Connie - she always finds a way to see the best in people.  She has taught me so much.  I'm incredibly thankful that she is apart of my life and my children's lives (they love her like a grandma)

30 days of being Grateful!

In honor of Thanksgiving, I thought I should share what I am most thankful for each day of November.  Since I originally was going to post on fb I'm a day late doing it here.  Instead of fb I thought my blog would be a better place and a way for me to look back later.

Day 1:  my husband.. Chase is my heart and soul.  He keeps me in check, reminds me what is important and loves me for the good and bad.  I'm so incredibly thankful to have such a wonderful husband, friend and dad to our kids.

Blog, posts, time...

So I always see the app in my iPhone for the blog but I never open it.  I've realized that the blog is the perfect way to "vent" without blowing up my fb with pointless entries.  So for anyone who follows prepare yourself as my blog is about to change.  Struggle of the day:  never ending laundry

Positive of the day:  Fishers smile

We Went to the doctor this morning and my poor little guy has a sinus infection and even being so sick he is still pretty happy.  My kids make my life worth living.  Some times Motherhood sucks and is hard but overall my kids are such a joy.  I'm one lucky lady.  So... Back to working on the endless laundry and packing....  Ugh
