Roll Tide Roll

As many of you know, Chase and I are big University of Alabama fans. I thought I should share a few pictures from Hunter's first Bama game! For the SEC Champ game we had to wear our team colors (Hunter's outfit is from my God Mother)... As Chase says Hunter is his good luck charm!

Roll Tide Roll!

Baby Butterbean is finally here!

Chase Hunter Webb joined our family on November 30, 2009 at 12:15pm. He weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces and measured 22 inches long. Chase and I are so very excited to have Hunter here.

2 weeks and counting...

The real count down is really on... at this point I feel like I am going to pop! I'm already counting down almost to the minute. This time in two weeks (or less) - Hunter will be here. We are so excited. We (well Chase) set up the car this weekend & I finally started to pack my bags.

Happy Halloween

35 Weeks

We have less than 30 days until Butter Bean arrives.. its hard to believe how quickly the time has gone by! We spent the weekend enjoying the cool weather and doing a few halloween activities.

Finishing Touches

Today is one month out until my last day of work (but who's counting?) - so Chase and I decided to try and work on a few things around the house. As the count down has started, we have started to work on our checklist of last minute items - one of those being - hanging everything on the walls... although we still have the sailboat to hang, here is a sneak peak as to what Hunter's room will look like.

** This cross is so very meaningful for us, and was given to Hunter from the Clark family. *** We are already packed (well Hunter is) & ready to go!

** Hunter has a closet full of clothes!

Bigger by the day...

So many things have happened over the last few weeks. It seems like every day I'm getting bigger and the time is going by faster. Hunter has had 3 baby showers in honor of him now, we have finished his room (although we still need to hang everything on the walls and add a few last minute touches), and we have already started packing for his big day (or at least we have packed his bag). We have less than 6 weeks left until he gets here and its hard to believe it has gone by so quickly. Below you will see some of the newest pictures of the belly (stay tuned for pictures of the baby showers). One of Chase and I's good friends Morgan took the pictures!

Much to Celebrate!

The past two weeks have been full of wonderful blessings... on Sept. 3 we got the great news about the baby and then this past week Chase was hired on by Archer Exteriors. We are still working on the baby's room, but hopefully next weekend Chase will be able to finish it while I'm in South Carolina.

Yesterday marked the first day of the Baby Shower Season. One of my friends Erica is also expecting a little bundle of joy and I attended one of her showers... I had a wonderful time. Its hard to believe that she will be having a baby in one or two months (I'm almost one month behind her). It made me realize how much we have to do! Next weekend is my first shower in SC, and I'm already counting down the hours... I'm so excited to see everyone and hope that all of my friends and family from back home will be able to make it (if you haven't RSVP then make sure you do). Today I received one of the first baby gifts. Unfortunately Chase has to work, but I was lucky enough to be able to go to lunch with John Paul and Mindy. They will be in Las Vegas during the showers here in Alabama, but they got our little guy all kinds of wonderful gifts (the cutest little outfits, diapers, baby stuff, etc).

Chase and I feel so very fortunate that we have such wonderful family and friends... thank you all so much for everything!!

Sept 3 - Great NEWS!

Sept. 3, 2009
I wanted to thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. I know many of you have been following the blog and know that we had to go see a specialist for the baby. This past Monday, I went in for the monthly check up and passed the glucose test with flying colors. We are down to go in the day after Thanksgiving (our little guy is already showing to be a big Alabama fan - as the day after Thanksgiving is Iron Bowl). Today we also had our big appointment with the specialist and everything looked great! The baby's little kidneys have healed and he is looks healthy and weights 2 pounds and 1 oz. We also received good news this morning, that our little guy has a cousin to play with when he gets here (Chase's aunt Kelly had a healthy 7lb, 4oz little boy today).

August With All Of Its Ups & Downs...

Exactly 26 kisses from Chase & 26 kisses from Butter Bean

Cooper after our beach trip (8.16.09) Me - 24 weeks (8.15.09)

So much has happened in the month of August.. and I must say I'm glad the month is almost over. At our last doctor's appointment (22 weeks), we found out that the baby needed to go see a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist for a special ultrasound of his little kidneys. Something, that took us for a scare, but after talking with my mom, I realized our little guy might have the same problem that my little sister had at birth (which can be fixed), but until our appointment in Sept., we won't know much. I also founded out there are a few places on my very fair skin that didn't look so great either and I needed to go see a dermatologist (hopefully Butter Bean has his dad's skin). Good news, is that everything else seemed to be going better with the pregnancy, not as many sciatic nerve problems.
Just as I started to be able to cope with the news of the kidney problem, I started to notice I was having some strange pain on my right side. At first I just thought my tummy was growing so fast and my ligaments couldn't keep up, but one night after I had Chase put lots of lotion on the tummy, he noticed I had a large lump in the same place I was having such horrible pains from. At this point I discussed it with my mom and she suggested that I call and tell the doctor. Well at first I didn't think much of it, but after a lunch meeting on a Thur. afternoon, I noticed my side was really hurting. After a short phone call with my doctor's nurse, I started to worry.. one because normally when they call me back its 30 to 45 minutes later, but this time it was less than 5 minutes, next from the tone in her voice I could tell something was wrong, so when she told me I needed to come in the next day and see a different doctor in the practice (my doctor was off that day), I knew it was something serious. Dr. McGrath had said she thought it could be my gall bladder. That night I came home a little worried to a beautiful home made surprise early birthday cake - which of course made the news not so bad... although that night I woke up a few times in horrible pain. Long story short, the next day, Dr. Ives, informed us that my gallbladder was the problem and he sent me to get blood work, an ultrasound and to see a surgeon & to stay away from cake (well any fatty foods). After a bit of a painful weekend, I made it through without having to go to the ER (which Dr. Ives was a little worried about). I had a great night at our friend Katie and Andrew's house warming party, and a relaxing 26th birthday (Chase took me to brunch & then we took Cooper to the beach that afternoon). Monday I spent the rest of the day at the surgeon's office. We found out that they didn't see any gall stones (which is a plus), but that didn't mean they were not there (sometimes they hide).. due to me being prego they couldn't do further tests... so like we had been told that past Friday, that I would have to change my diet, take pain meds and try and relax and after the the baby is born, they will do more tests and most likely go in and take out my gall bladder. We also found out, as the doctor put it "its my problem and not the baby's - he shouldn't be effected by my little, but painful problem."

So between the many doctors appointments in the month of August.. we are so glad this month is coming to an end. We have almost finished the baby's room. Our original idea for the room, has changed, but the room will look great. We hopefully will get the bedding in the mail this week (thanks to my wonderful Aunt Kendra). Today Chase and I painted the rocker for the room and cleaned out part of the house to make more room for our little man. More updates to come over the next 2 weeks.. until then please keep our little guy in your thoughts and prayers, as all we want is for him to be healthy.

22 weeks Ultrasound Pictures

Our little boy is still a boy and growing every day! He is now actively kicking and Chase can feel him! We had another ultrasound because during the last one, he would not move for the doctor to see his little heart.. but this time he was laying side ways and his heart looked good. We will go back the end of August for our next appointment, until then I am under strick orders to keep my stress levels down and take it easy. We hopefully will start to paint the baby's room this weekend and try and get the room ready to go by October.

Over Half Way There...

20 weeks and the bump is getting bigger...

We are over half way to the arrival of the baby.

This past week has been, over all a week of the pregnancy, I will not forget. Sunday we went and registered at Target and then spent a relaxing night around the house. Monday started off like any other day, Chase left for work around 5:30am and I tried to sleep for a few more hours. I woke up and got ready like I normally do. Played with Cooper and then while eating breakfast, the email sound began on my blackberry - a normal thing to happen at 8am on a Monday. This time, as I walked to the SUV and read one of the many emails, I started feeling some cramping as I read. This was a new feeling.. not one where my ligaments are stretching, but a deep pain, where my tummy started to tighten and it came and went. At this point, I just thought that the baby was moving around, maybe sitting on a nerve or the uterus was expanding... to tell you the truth, the email at this point at signaled that Monday was going to be more than a "manic Monday."

After arriving at the office, the stress of the job started to set in and I took it one step at a time... but the pain went away... as the day went on the pain got worse and then would go away. By 3pm I wasn't feeling very well and had talked to the doctor a few times. This time, the doctor sent me home on an afternoon of "bed rest". I was on strict orders to have "NO stress" - in the back of my mind, I thought yeah right, you should do my job and no stress.. well.. anyways I left work, turned my cell off (I know a first) and tried to relax, by keeping my feet up. Cooper and I spent the next few hours napping until Chase came up around 5pm. I feel so bad for those who are on bed rest for weeks... I don't think I could do it.. just a few hours of it made me go crazy.

That night my sweet hubby made sure I didn't do anything... although I did break the rule and turned the cell back on.. but I didn't listen to voicemail or check email, instead I chatted with one of my very best friends Kim for about an hour and a half (that right there was the biggest stress reliever).

As the week went on my stress level decreased and so did the pains I had been having. I still had them a few more times through out the week, but no spotting so the doctor didn't think I needed to come in, until my regular appointment.

Needless to say.. this was the scariest feeling I have had. I was worried that I may have been having contractions, but since they stopped. I feel like Butter Bean was just telling his mommy that he can't handle his mom to be stressed.

The pain has since gone and today the lack of energy has set in. Although tonight is our night for date night (which we are trying to have one at least 2 times a month if not weekly before the baby gets here) - I would much rather just sleep.

Tomorrow... I'm going shopping for fabrics for the baby room and going to check out some baby stuff hopefully with one my friends Alison (who is also expecting a baby - which is great so Butter Bean will have a friend to grow up with - that baby's dad is Chase's best friend Dennis) or Erica (she also is due to have a baby - I guess its just in the water here).

More details to come, but for now - its time for a nap!!!

Let the Planning Begin...

So this past weekend, I finally feel like we made some head way when it comes to preparing for Butter Bean. My mother-in-law and I searched high and low for the perfect baby bedding to complete the perfect room for our little bundle of joy. We finally found what we want and figured out the over all theme of the room... a surprise you will have to wait to see (to see what the bedding will look like check out this website http://polkatotdesigns.com/babybedding.html). I also register at Kids Pottery Barn (believe it or not, some of the things on there are cheaper than Target and a lot of them are on sale now for under $10) and updated our Babies-R-Us registry - although from now until Butter Bean gets here I'm sure I will update and change 100 more times. I was able to figure out the dates for the baby showers... I'm so very lucky that I have such wonderful family and friends who want celebrate our little one and plan an event in honor of him!
We also started on the name game... so far it looks like the baby is going to be named Chase Hunter Webb and go by Hunter or Coleman Fisher Webb or maybe even William Wesley Webb - Chase's vote is for Hunter! I'm still not sure.
The baby is really starting to grow and I have felt the baby more often now. New pictures will come soon.. stay toned!

It's all Webb

The Baby's Head

The special parts...

Up close again

Today we had our monthly check up and the big ultrasound! The doctor said everything looks good, although little butter bean was very stubborn and would not move to let us get a good look at the heart (so next month we will need to get another ultrasound). The baby had a heart beat of 145 and weighs 9oz. The baby did like to show off its little parts though... we could say butter bean is a big show off, but I think the baby was just proud to show Chase that we are having a BABY BOY! Yep that's right the Webb gene is a strong one! I believe this makes 7 generations of ALL BOYS! We are still thinking about names, but I'm looking forward to starting work on the bed room - which is always fun when your mother-in-law is an interior designer!

After we went to the doctor, we went ahead and registered at Babies-R-Us... we are still working on adding all of the items, but I was so excited I wanted to go ahead and get ahead start! I also got great news that my first baby shower will be on Sept. 19 in Charleston! More details will be sure to come... Thank you all for the loving support!

The Count Down is On....

18 weeks - Chase & Kristin (7.4.09)

18 weeks

4th of July - me, with Whitney & Nicole - before going to the islands

In less than 24 hours we will find out if Butter Bean will be a girl or boy... the excitement is overwhelming. Yesterday (4th of July), really made us realize the baby will be here before we know it. Our lives will change forever in a few short months.

The guessing game has become the biggest topic... so far its split half and half. When we look at the old wives tales, its hard to tell what the baby is. The baby has a high heart beat (160-150 at 13 weeks), I crave chocolate covered ice cream, actually anything covered in chocolate - but before that all I wanted was olives, so far I seem to carry mostly just in the tummy, just to name a few. We have no clue about girl names, only a few boy names. When it comes down to it... the baby just loves the holidays and one of the best birthday presents I can give my dad and butter bean's "Granddaddy" is what the sex is!

I have already gone to check out one day care and the thought of having to leave butter bean, does not sound like fun... but the lady has an in home, state certified, day care and only can take up to 12 kids under the age of 4. One of my best friend's nephew attends and his parents love it! Plus the place is 5 to 7 minutes from work (a major plus, since I work in the middle of no where).

Thank you all for your loving support! I will hopefully have the dates for the baby showers very soon. I'm very excited that I have so many great people who want to throw me showers... we will be having one in Charleston in Sept., 2 in Alabama and maybe a B&D for Chase at the end of the summer.

Baby's first kick....

This baby is in love with holidays... on Father's Day, I believe I felt the baby kick for the first time. It was a strange feeling, but very exciting at the same time.

We will find out if it will be a girl or boy on July 6th - which also is a holiday (my dad's birthday)! To answer everyone's questions... yes we will be finding out the sex and I will posted it on here as soon as we get home from the doctor, as well as pictures.

Thanks for all of your support and love!

The Bump is getting bigger... 15 weeks...

I finally had to make the big change... from regular clothes to preggo outfits... this was a little difficult to adjust too. Luck for me, I have a wonderful mom, who although couldn't go with me shopping, sent me some extra help for the new outfits. Whitney (a good friend of mine), went with me to help me pick out the new look. We had a wonderful time checking out all of the newest baby looks as well. It was prob a good idea that we don't know what we are having yet, otherwise I would have spent my budget for clothes on the baby's outfits instead of on my new work clothes. I must say for those who wait to find out what they are having, must have a very difficult time trying to find anything that is not boy or girl outfits.

The baby bump 13 weeks & 5 days

Dipped Cones, Exhaustion & Cutting the Grass

Org. Post Date 6/2/09

I always thought I had some understanding of what it meant to be tired, but until now I had no idea. As the morning sickness, or as I like to call it, lunch or night sickness has slowly dwindled, the pure exhaustion has increased. Some days I can’t keep my eyes open to make it through the day. As my career has started to take off, that leaves little time for sleep, much less play. The desire to eat a “dipped” cone from Dairy Queen keeps me up at night, although I have not had one of those in at least 15 years. Needless to say, having a craving that is a good hour plus a way to get, has not been fulfilled... or at least not yet (the Dairy Queen 15 minutes from the house closed down and the closest one is on the other side of Pensacola, FL). Besides wanting a chocolate covered treat, the next best thing is sleep. I have also noticed that no longer can I stand to see certain items out of order. If you know me well, then it’s clear that I’m a little OCD when it comes to work, but at home, well that’s another story. Lately I have had the urge, as I like to call it, to pick up or make things look nice. I really started to notice this, this past weekend. I went outside to water my new hanging flowers and realized I could not get to the water hose, because our grass was in need of a trim. Well… again for those of you, who truly know me, I’m not one for yard work. Normally I would have just gone around the house and gotten water from the other side and not thought about the grass, well this time was different. I decided right then, that I need to cut the grass… and by cut the grass I mean the acre plus of grass. You guessed right, I have never done that task before… but lucky for me, Chase was more than willing to show me how to use the riding lawn mower (because I had only used a push one a hand full of times, I know sad) – and I must say… it was a blast! Me saying yard work was a blast – I know crazy. Dishes and laundry not even close, but for Chase’s hopes and dreams, I’m sure he wishes those things would seem like fun any day now.

As the weekend went by, so did an event at work, and Sunday was full of more organizing (well finishing the yard work and me deciding to re-organize part of my bedroom). One thing I have come to realize through this experience is it is not the best idea to go through the past (i.e. boxes, old memories) when you have out of control hormones and emotions you can’t seem to control. Now, I seem to look back and question things…

I go back to the doctor in only a few short days and although the blood work and the long wait at the office seems endless, I can’t wait. As each day goes by, the anticipation builds for our bundle of joy to arrive. Now if only I had some pants that would fit, life would be grand – until then I will stick with the B Band – because being between normal clothes and maternity is something no one ever really explained would happen.

More updates and picture to come… until then keep us in your thoughts and prayers!

11 weeks and the baby is already starting to show

Ultrasound Picture from May 5, 2009 Doctor's appointment...

The 1st trimester is almost over! May 18, 2009

Org. Post Date: May 18, 2009

As we grow closer to our due date, so does the anticipation. Luckily for me, the nausea has gotten better (I have been able to hold food down for 7 days in a row now) as we get closer to the second trimester, while the sciatic nerve has been acting up more. The doctor wants me to go see my orthopedist in the next few weeks to check out the knees and the nerve problem. Chase is as excited as a proud dad can be - he is following the rules our pastor suggested by rubbing and talk to the tummy daily. Cooper even knows something is different... he has always been a mama's boy - but now he is careful to follow me around more than normal, but won't cuddle anymore. Luckily for me, both times I have had the hideous sciatic nerve problem Cooper has been right there and gone and gotten Chase (I must say I have a smart puppy). These days I am truly learning the meaning behind "being tired." I never thought I would feel so drained in my whole life... with the new job keeping me very busy and traveling a good amount, its hard to function when I have any down time... sleep has become my new best friend - I never seem to be able to get enough. I'm looking forward to the day when everyone says you will get more energy.

We have started to begin to think about names... so far we are not set on anything yet - and yep you guessed it right we have only come up with boy names, as the Webb gene is a strong one - although Connie, my step-mother-in-law as well as my Aunt Kendra believe I am going to have a girl. Either way - as long as we have a healthy happy baby we are going to be excited (but yes, we are going to find out what the sex is).

More updates to come, as we get closer. The next doctor's appointment is the first week in June. So check back soon for more updates!

Its true we are due! May 5, 2009

Org. Post Date May 5, 2005

So yes, you guessed it right - Chase and I are expecting a bundle of joy due December 5, 2009. So far this baby loves holidays... I started getting sick on Easter Sunday, our first doctor's appointment was Cinco de Mayo (also Whitney's birthday) and the Doctor believes she will have to induce on November 28 (those of you from Alabama, know that is a state holiday, called Iron Bowl). We had our first official doctor's appointment today and everything checked out ok! Although we are not yet 3 months along (9 weeks and 3 days), I couldn't hold it in any longer and part of the reason why I haven't talked on the phone to anyone (because when I do - I just give it away)... I was going to wait till this weekend when I came home to SC to tell everyone (but I couldn't wait - plus I'm flying home as a surprise and didn't want to give it away that I would be in SC ) plus a few of you never answer your phones... so email seemed the best way to tell everyone at once. We found out on April 14th, but wanted to wait until we saw the doctor before we told everyone (although we did tell our parents 2+ weeks ago). We are only telling family and very close friends until we hit the 12 week mark. Although there will be many big changes happening this coming summer and fall, we are looking forward to the unexpected bundle of joy we like to call Butter Bean!

Welcome to the Webb family website! Since we live so far from many of our loved ones, we thought this would be an easy way to keep everyone updated on the latest (baby) news! Chase, Kristin and Cooper are all very excited about our soon to be buddle of joy (which we call butter bean). Butter Bean due date is set for Dec. 5th, but we may need to go in early (which is set for Nov. 28)! Keep checking back for more details, pictures and blogs over the next several months!

Love the Webb Family
